The line-up for DoomShip 2027 in Hamburg is now complete!

The festival will already begin on Thursday, July 8, with a special warm-up featuring FVNERAL FVKK, DECEMBERANCE and URZA - all three bands were part of the first DoomShip in 2025, bringing a touch of nostalgia back aboard the MS Stubnitz before the second edition finally sets sail.

  • There will be a limited number of tickets available.
  • First wave of tickets is three day festival ticket only.
  • If you can afford and want to support: Consider buying supporter tickets. This will help us a lot.

Once again, the artwork was created by our friend and artist Ole Fink, whose vision also shaped the first DoomShip in 2025.

DoomShip has never been about drawing narrow genre boundaries. The idea is to explore the darker and heavier side of extreme music in all its diversity, to broaden horizons and to leave room for bands that refuse to fit neatly into a single category. From the crushing depths of Funeral Doom to Epic Doom, Death Doom and the avant-garde Black/Doom of LYCHGATE, the second edition once again reaches beyond any limitations of the genre.

DoomShip

Presented by Wheel Of Steel, Deaf Forever, Metallian, metal.de, metal inside.de, Meuse Music Records / M9 Music & Funeral Of Mankind Promotions.

Thursday, July 8

(warm-up, day I, doors 18:00, concerts: 19:00)

URZA

The Berlin funeral death doom band returns to the Stubnitz. Combining slow, crushing heaviness with bleak melodies, their music gives shape to loss, despair and hopelessness.

FVNERAL FVKK

Powerful riffs and soaring clean vocals define the Hamburg band’s epic doom. Beneath the sacred imagery lie lyrics addressing documented crimes and abuses committed by religious institutions. With their new album “Indecent Idols” arriving this October, they return to the Stubnitz with a new chapter of darkness.

DECEMBERANCE

Hailing from Athens, DECEMBERANCE move between death doom and the depths of funeral doom. Their expansive compositions weave together slow, heavy passages, fierce eruptions and moments of quiet melancholy.

Friday/Saturday, July 9/10

(day II and III, doors 17:00, concerts: 18:00)

FUNERALIUM

Will be playing one of their rare live shows for DoomShip, bringing a unique sound featuring three bass guitars to the stage – a massive, pitch-black sonic experience.

THRONEHAMMER

One of the most extraordinary epic doom bands, will also perform at DoomShip. They combine powerful riffs, epic melodies and the heaviness of classic doom to create a monumental sound.

ENNUI

The Georgian band will be playing their German debut at DoomShip. With their latest album „Qroba“, the funeral doom band has established itself as one of the most impressive acts in the genre, blending deep melancholy with atmospheric density and abysmal nihilism.

ESOTERIC

For over three decades, these British pioneers have explored the darkest depths of psychedelic funeral doom. Layered guitars, abyssal vocals and sprawling compositions make their live performances an intense and unsettling experience. The band is currently working on a new album.

LYCHGATE

Moving between avant-garde black metal and doom, LYCHGATE have developed a musical language all their own. Dissonant guitars, haunting organ passages and intricate arrangements reach far beyond familiar genre boundaries.

WOODEN VEINS

Founded by Chilean musicians with backgrounds in MAR DE GRISES, POEMA ARCANUS and MOURNING SUN, WOODEN VEINS combine melodic doom with progressive and gothic elements. Their sound brings together crushing weight, melancholy and a willingness to explore.

FADING BLISS

The Belgians combine heavy death doom with a dark gothic atmosphere. Deep growls, female clean vocals and drifting keyboards create a contrast between crushing heaviness and fragile melancholy.

DISCOURAGED

With their debut “A Farewell In Stages”, DISCOURAGED bring classic death doom aboard. Powerful riffs and deep growls meet mournful guitar melodies and intricate touches, giving familiar foundations a fresh perspective.
