Yegor Zabelov — a Belarusian-born, Poland-based accordionist and composer. When you first hear him, it’s hard to believe it all comes from a single accordion. The instrument expands into something orchestral, physical and deeply immersive.

Zabelov approaches the accordion not as a traditional instrument, but as a limitless sound generator. His performances unfold as long-form sonic journeys, moving between minimalism, ambient trance, post-rave tension and avant-garde improvisation. The accordion breathes, rattles, whispers and surges in massive waves of sound, transforming each performance into an intense and immersive live experience.

Yegor Zabelov

Yegor Zabelov is a very unique Belarusian accordion player. Zabelov devotes his work to exploring the possibilities of the instrument in which he specializes, often reaching its limits. In his hands, the accordion becomes a tool for creating mystical experiences, and performances take the form of a musical ritual.

His music is an experimental mix of accordion ambient, avant-garde jazz and neo-classical. Over the past few years, Zabelov has focused on his solo career. The musician is a frequent guest of European festivals. Some of the highlights are Les Nuits Botanique (BE), Eurosonic Festival (NL), Moers festival (DE), Malmö Sommarscen (SE), Europavox (FR), Rudolstadt festival (DE), Badentreffen festival (DE), Fusion Festival (DE), Vienna Accordion festival (AT), MENT (SI), Tallinn Music Week (EST), What’s Next in Music?
