Alkerdeel is an extreme metal band from Belgium, with influences that range from Darkthrone to Burning Witch and everything in between, be it black, doom, punk, crust, death, kraut, noise whatever. And as they're from Belgium, there’s a huge amount of surrealism and stench involved also.
Born from the Swedish underground, Mephorash stands as a vessel for ceremonial black metal — a union of sound, devotion, and esoteric doctrine. Since their inception, the band has invoked forces beyond the mundane through works that merge ritualistic grandeur with deeply layered occult symbolism.
Founded in 2024 between the Belgian cities of Ghent and Kortrijk. Bacht’n de Vulle Moane (Behind the Full Moon) merges the feral intensity of black metal with the pulsating oscillations of analogue electronics. For fans of Beherit, Ildjarn, Klaus Schulze and DAF.

What do you do when the music you want to hear doesn’t exist? You play it yourself. Twenty years ago, that was the starting point for Alkerdeel: fusing the icy sound of Norway’s Darkthrone with the crushing doom weight of America’s Burning Witch and the psychedelic nature of Blut Aus Nord from France. If the band had any ambition back then, it barely reached beyond the garage door.
Five full-length albums and several splits later, released via Consouling Sounds (home to Amenra, Wiegedood, Wolvennest) and Babylon Doom Cult Records, Alkerdeel has become an unstoppable force. Their sound has evolved into a filthy yet eclectic blend of the most extreme edges of the metal spectrum. And with success: three devastating appearances at the renowned Roadburn Festival decisively opened the gates to the international stage. What followed was a steady European ascent — from the kvlter than kvlt House of the Holy festival high in the Austrian mountains to a warm embrace in Germany, where their uncompromising live reputation propelled them forward. Alkerdeel have left their mark on stages such as A Sinister Purpose (Leipzig), Cursed Cortex (Jena), Years of Decay (Frankfurt) and Deep Sound City Fest (Halle), and now add Stubnitz Hamburg to that list.
Their credo: only live is real.
Mephorash
Through albums such as 1557 – Rites of Nullification, Shem Ha Mephorash, and Krystl-Ah, Mephorash has developed a unique sonic language — one that transcends the traditional boundaries of black metal to evoke the essence of spiritual transformation. Each composition unfolds as a ritual in itself: slow-burning incantations, sweeping orchestrations, and choral invocations that echo through the abyss."
Their live performances are immersive rites rather than mere concerts — ceremonies of illumination and dissolution where the physical and metaphysical converge. Cloaked in smoke, fire, and shadow, Mephorash invites the audience into a sanctum of sacred fire, guiding them through a journey beyond the veil of form.
