Concert
World News (uk), support: Terra Twin
alternative rock | eighties | indie | post punk | shoegaze
With an eclectic set of influences from the ‘70s and ‘80s dipping into post-punk, indie-rock and shoegaze alike, World News combines addictive atmospheric guitar riffs with seductive, nonchalant melodies. Moody, punchy, and nostalgic, they’ve drawn comparisons to iconic British bands from The Smiths and The Clash to Dire Straits, wearing the past on their sleeve while remaining perfectly original yet strangely familiar.

BRNDA (us), Talkin' Secret
art punk | jangle pop | indie rock | no wave
BRNDA is a four-piece from Washington D.C., with a few rules: No covers, No love songs. Simple, right? Think again. After perusing the late 70s, 80s and 2010s for musical detritus, it was discovered that only the least ostentatious, most off-kilter sound is fit for BRNDA. And so, if you find yourself unable to put your finger on just what you’re hearing, it is because BRNDA is not just some rehashed comfort listening.

Laura Krieg (ca), Schulverweis
coldwave | post punk | synth | punk | new wave
Laura Krieg is a means of geocritical self-defence. A cold wave of brutalist pop. A drum machine, a microphone, and silver glitter. With her latest album Crépuscule she brings people to dance, even if they’re sad. Driven by an ethereal and warm sound, the songs are to listen to with an open heart.
