As Sinnthese, Jakob Henneken plays nervous synth-pop that makes eyes at the noise. Trivial-radical lyrics and fragmentary sounds between sound art and the avant-pop of German New Wave. Henneken was born in Hamburg and is currently studying experimental and electro-acoustic composition at the mdw in Vienna. After their debut EP Rat Race of 2024 has already left its mark on the underground music scene, Die Anstalt is now releasing their debut Album in September this year and is already bringing a lot of their new songs to the live stages. The trio, formed in 2023 in Berlin brings an explosive mix to the table taking its inspirations from NDW, early 80s EBM, synth wave/punk and 60s surf guitar. Their energetic live performances have already captivated audiences across stages in several cities and countries.
