2.3. SIM MIDDLE TERM SCHEDULE
(From now until early 2012): Organizational phase.

Everything cannot be foreseen and we have to be pragmatic. Yet the rough structure of the 2 years organizational phase of this program already exists and can be described as follows:

I/ Now and until July 2010: Semi Public and Semi Official Phase.
II/ July 2010 Onwards: Public Phase.

I/ Now until July 2010: Semi-public and Semi official Phase:

Our four objectives (see 3. SIM Situation and objectives) are: 1/ To build the network; 2/ to define a concept for the festival 3/ to develop a definite website and 4/ to go as far as possible in the Feasibility study and if possible get 4 or 5 answers from targeted harbors.

-SKYPE meetings are organized every friday at 1pm Egyptian time.

-Coordinations Meetings are regularly organized in the different coutries targeted by the operation: They follow the extension of our network.

A/ Past coordination Meetings:
Agadir in early february of 2013
Beirut in mid-february of 2013

B/ Upcoming Coordination meetings:
1/ Coordination Meeting In Rostock
Dates: 14-18th of April 2010
Objectives: Integrate the network, coordinate our actions.
Attendees: MS STUBNITZ (de) / TIMITAR (ma) / CAMEL ZEKRY (dz) / AFIF (tu) / 100 COPIES AND LABEL (eg) / ACOUSMATIK (lb) / IRTIJAL (lb)

2/ Coordination Meeting in ISTANBUL
Dates: 08th to 12th of April 2010.
Objectives:Mainly to look for Turkish partners.Our main objective during this trip is to get in touch with the cultural actors that could be willing to support the project locally. (extension of a Turkish Network).
Attendees: Hady Saleh (Acousmatik); Brahim El Mazned (TIMITAR) and Thierr Jaussoin (MS STUBNITZ) should attend it.

II/ July 2010 until launching of the festival in January 2012:

In this second phase, things should go a little more concrete. We'll have to stress on the search for financial and media partners, while going on with the development of institutional partners and counterparts.

We will also start communicate about the project. In tis regard, regional communications will be organized, that will show the growth of our project.

Foreseen regional communications:

1/ July 2010 / TIMITAR 2010:
Will be the occasion for the SIM project to hold a first press conference and to start communicate about the project:
Network; website; festival concept; feasibility study.

2/ November 2010 / Beirut.
Irtijal and ACOUSMATIK are OK to organize a communication event.
It's shape will be decided as soon as we get enough elements.

3/ an 4/ Communication events are also foreseen in Marseille an Rostock (or wherever the ship will then be).
